Dream Big & Go for the Gold

You have always heard the saying to dream big and go for the gold. And everyone strives to do their best. My question today is....When is enough enough? When embarking on your "dream" when is the stopping point? Where is the end of the road? How much is too much? Where do you draw the line? Is it enough when you have caused your friends and family such discord, left your life and the ones around you in such disarray or what about the debt, divorce, death? All of these things are brought on by what you have done by going for your dream. You must have a heavy burden? Or you may not be concerned at all because you dont put yourself in others shoes. You dont know how you appear.

You see, today, I know many small business owners(for example) who have been going through alot in the last few years. So much that, now in the present 2011, they are praying, wishing and hoping that the good Lord brings a deposit to cover the payroll for that two week period. Every bank and business in town has done everything they can for you. They dont have any more business for you and they cannot loan you anymore money. You are tapped out the say the least. There is no where to turn and no one to ask. They live in distress, anxiety, and pure misery. What is all of that accomplishing? Where do you just cut your losses?

I can see how I am starting not to make much sense but the bottom line is where do you draw the line from dreaming and reality? Is it $50,000 of debt that you hope you can pay back one day? Is it a constant argument with your wife and family on a daily basis? Is it worth the stress of going against the grain and against the odds when 1 out of every 50,000 actually make it? Why would you go against the odds? What makes you think you are the "1"? What can make you think and believe that you are the exception?

What if you never had a dream? What if, when you were little you were not at all concerned about the future and what you would do for your career or how your life would go? You didnt have that plan or life map that many others began long before you. Your dream was just living day by day and shooting for the smaller stuff in life. The smaller things you can make happen and therefore in turn have many more victories and feel accomplished? This example is much like my TO-DO list. I cram so much stuff on that daily list its like a game to see how much I can get done and in what amount of time. Is this sense of accomplishment worth it?
