Dream Big & Go for the Gold

You have always heard the saying to dream big and go for the gold. And everyone strives to do their best. My question today is....When is enough enough? When embarking on your "dream" when is the stopping point? Where is the end of the road? How much is too much? Where do you draw the line? Is it enough when you have caused your friends and family such discord, left your life and the ones around you in such disarray or what about the debt, divorce, death? All of these things are brought on by what you have done by going for your dream. You must have a heavy burden? Or you may not be concerned at all because you dont put yourself in others shoes. You dont know how you appear.

You see, today, I know many small business owners(for example) who have been going through alot in the last few years. So much that, now in the present 2011, they are praying, wishing and hoping that the good Lord brings a deposit to cover the payroll for that two week period. Every bank and business in town has done everything they can for you. They dont have any more business for you and they cannot loan you anymore money. You are tapped out the say the least. There is no where to turn and no one to ask. They live in distress, anxiety, and pure misery. What is all of that accomplishing? Where do you just cut your losses?

I can see how I am starting not to make much sense but the bottom line is where do you draw the line from dreaming and reality? Is it $50,000 of debt that you hope you can pay back one day? Is it a constant argument with your wife and family on a daily basis? Is it worth the stress of going against the grain and against the odds when 1 out of every 50,000 actually make it? Why would you go against the odds? What makes you think you are the "1"? What can make you think and believe that you are the exception?

What if you never had a dream? What if, when you were little you were not at all concerned about the future and what you would do for your career or how your life would go? You didnt have that plan or life map that many others began long before you. Your dream was just living day by day and shooting for the smaller stuff in life. The smaller things you can make happen and therefore in turn have many more victories and feel accomplished? This example is much like my TO-DO list. I cram so much stuff on that daily list its like a game to see how much I can get done and in what amount of time. Is this sense of accomplishment worth it?

~2010 N rEvieW~

Wow! What a year we have had! Time truely does fly when you are having fun! To finish off my 2010, I wanted to tell my year in pictures of what has happened over the last 12 months. I also plan on blogging more since I havent blogged in 3 months! As I think I have said before, writing my blog is kinda like a therapy to me. I get to express what I really think and no one has to know what I am talking about even if it is truely in reference to them. Sometimes, I just like to write to write.

January 1st 2010 was spent with my friends in New York! We brought in the new year there and we had a blast! I also spent some time at the Phi Mu Rush Weekend. This is a picture of us in New York while it was snowing on New Years Eve Day. We were absolutely freezing and we still managed to keep it cute!

February is a month of love. Caleb and I always celebrate Valentines Day and usually go out to a restaurant. This year went also went to the Valentines Supper at our church. The youth puts this supper on each year and they get to have the money to go on their trip.

March was a very special month this year. I asked all of my best friends to be in my wedding! It just so happens that we were throwing a Bridal Shower for Jessie at that time! I wont forget that day!

April brings Easter each year. We, of course, had our picture made at the famous cherry blossom tree on the Copeland Farm and I hope that one day my children can have their picture taken there every year! It is just such a beautiful tree and blooms in the nick of time every year!

May- Katie Copeland graduated and I spent most of my time working and laying out at the pool. Next may will bring weddings and more festivities!

June was an experience to say the least. We went on a bowfishing excursion. It was definately fun! We also did our regular summertime activities which include frequenting the pool, shooting at the shooting range, and luck for me there is nothing to hunt!! This picture is the bowfishing crew and the fish they shot.

July brings the 4th!! We went to the college and watched the fireworks with friends! They are fantastic and in your face the entire time!

August is when started building what later came to be named the Copeland Cottage. That is where we currently live and Ill post a pic of that later. This is a picture of Caleb and Ridge running the tractor and clearing out the dirt for the Cottage.

September is my BIRTHDAY! And this year I turned 24! Gosh I never thought I would get to be 24 that just seemed soo old!! I also had my Bachelorette Weekend Getaway at Hilton Head Island! My horoscopic sign is Virgo and I know a few other Virgos. I find it really strange that many of us are alike. I love the month of September. The weather is perfect and there are soo many things to do!! This picture is at a restaurant for my Bachelorette Party!

October was a VERY special month. The first part of October I had my Bridesmaid Luncheon at Capital City Country Club. That is where this picture was made. We changed out of our dresses from the lunch and into our pottery clothes!! I had my church bridal shower. The next weekend was the rehearsal and then the WEDDING! We spent Halloween in Jamaica!

Novemeber- I bought my first couch for the Copeland Cottage! That was a long and agonzing adventure. Amy's baby Callie turned 1 year old!! I can't hardly believe that! And of course Thanksgiving!

December- Calebs 24th Birthday! Christmas with both of our families. Putting together our own decor and tree! We usually have a skeet shoot on Christmas day but instead we had a snow day! This picture was made Christmas Day after Caleb hunted. This is my living room and my Christmas tree that I took down the next day!!

I am so excited to see what 2011 has in store for Caleb and I. We are going to set some goals and work towards them. We are not going to make resolutions because resolutions just get broken. Instead, we will both work together towards common goals helping each other along the way. A friend once wrote some words of advice to us that said "God has chosen you for one another now, go forth and do his will. And remember to always make each others dreams come true" And that is exactly what we plan on doing!!
